Outward Bound Oman

OB Today

The world has changed hugely since 1941. However, in today's world, the pressures on young people, and the issues they face are as intense as ever. We believe our courses continue to make a significant contribution to the development of young people, helping to build their confidence and character, increase their employability and equip them to meet the challenges they face both now and in the future.

The last decade has seen a growing level of debate about the way we nurture young people. Endless exam pressure, technology that isolates young people from their peers, the obesity time bomb, decreasing contact with the environment, anxious parents wrapping their children in cotton wool-these are just a few of the many issues of concern to young people, teachers and wider society.

The work of Outward Bound has never been as relevant as it is today, and each year 250,000 people take part in an Outward Bound course somewhere in the world.
